At The Fig Tree Hub, we believe in the power of natural healing and holistic wellbeing. Katie, our dedicated reflexologist specialises in providing personalised therapy to promote balance and harmony. Who is the The Fig Tree Hub, and Why?

"Hi, I'm Katie, Reflexologist, Member with the Association of Reflexologists UK and Trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Katie is a Reflexologist, trained with the highly acclaimed Temple Academy of Reflexology, and most recently The School of Calmology in Baby & Toddler Reflex, both accredited by the AOR (Association of Reflexologists UK). Having benefitted greatly from Reflexology during pregnancy, post partum and on many further occasions over the years, she felt this was a way to provide care and support to others at times when they most need it.

Having trained as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter a few years back, Katie later joined the Infant Feeding Team at West Herts Teaching Hospitals Trust to provide key support to parents in the feeding journey with their babies.

Working part time across the two roles, Katie is able to offer guidance, support and therapeutic services to those who need it. Does that include you?

Have you thought about how stress impacts your body? A niggly ache, or hormones leaving you feeling out of sorts? Why not have a chat with Katie about how her services can help you.

Why a Fig Tree?

Well, for a few main reasons.

  1. The tree represents living and giving life, roots for nourishment, branches for support, and leaves for shelter. It has a cycle of living, seasonal, ever growing and changing so long as it is given the right environment. The fruit provides a lifeline for other species, whilst providing opportunity for the tree itself to produce offspring of its own.
  2. The fruit the tree bears represents the outside and inside of a human breast when looking at the glandular structure of the fruit and the outer shape. Both provide nourishment.
  3. Working in reflexology, the sole or the roots are important, they tell a story of the life lived, and show what areas of the body may be seeking balance and nourishment.
